We are recently relocated to Chenango County and I am looking for possible barter exchanges.
I am a personal trainer with 8 years experience. I also weave and spin using 18th and 19th century tools. My main weaving product is rag rugs but I'd like to branch out to saddle blankets and other home textiles. I'm looking for fiber animals, Angora rabbits, Angora goats and various breeds of sheep with wool suitable for spinning. I am also interested in finding a saddle horse ( maybe a work horse too ). I'm also interested in canning jars and related equipment. If someone is interested in a possible exchange, I am open to any of the above. Thanks, Kathryn |

The Handspinners Group Hi Kathryn, I hope you're still looking for an answer to your question. Here's one aspect that might be of interest - The Handspinners Group. You'll make some great contacts here. The Handspinners Group meeting is held on Saturdays at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Parish House in Oxford from 10 am to 2 pm. They bring in projects they’re working on, or what they've finished or something that might need help with finishing – there's a great wealth of knowledge in this group! Their next big event is Rock Day. Their Rock Day will be Saturday, January 19th (2008) at the Parish House in Oxford. If you would like to sell at Rock Day, please let Nancy Morey know. There is a small charge for selling; this goes to the Episcopal Church for letting them use the Parish House for their meetings. They plan some spinning games, and bring a dish to pass for lunch! One member, Regina, shared this link with the group's members. It's a YouTube clip - "Kids Love to Jump on Beds". Take a look.... http://mfrost.typepad.com/cute_overl...ove-to-ju.html St. Paul's Episcopal Church - Parish House- 32 East Main Street, Oxford, NY. (607) 843-7011.
